Juju reusable sanitary pads are an eco aware alternative to disposable pads.
Here are some reasons to make the switch to eco friendly feminine hygiene pads.
They are handmade in Australia from high quality soft, pure, unbleached cotton.
Because there are no fragrances or harsh chemicals it means less irritation.
There are also NO absorption agents or nasty chemicals like dioxins and formaldehyde.
Consequently they are gentle against sensitive skin.
Juju reusable sanitary pads are made with an absorbent moisture wicking top layer.
The middle part of the pad has a padded and absorbent layer. The reason for this is so the pad sits comfortably without squashing up.
Lastly there is a waterproof cotton layer which prevents leakage.
JuJu Pads and Liners are fastened with wings around the gusset of your underwear and have dual snaps, allowing you to adjust the size of the pad according to the size of the gusset in your underwear.
These eco friendly feminine hygiene pads are used for periods or after birth bleeding.
Also useful for incontinence and light bladder leakage.
There are five sizes of sanitary pads to choose from. These include panty liner, mini, regular, large and night pads.
Caring for your Juju reusable sanitary pads:
Before using for the first time, machine or hand wash your reusable sanitary pad
During period care:
Rinse your eco aware feminine hygiene pad in cold water either overnight or until the water runs clear.
Hand wash with washing detergent and warm water.
Machine wash with warm water on a gentle cycle.
Hang your washed pad in the sun on the clothes line or rack.
Don’t use fabric softener as this can lessen the absorbency factor by coating the cotton fibres.
After period care:
Don’t worry if there is some staining on your feminine hygiene pad.
This is normal because of the absorbency of the cotton fibres.
Use bicarb or washing soda with water to rub on stubborn stains.
Every few months wash your pad/s with a small quantity of the following ingredients.
Eucalyptus/tea tree essential oils, white vinegar or apple cider vinegar.
After washing with any of the above ingredients, rinse your pad thoroughly and dry in the sun if possible.
HeatBeater cooling neck ties are another reusable eco aware product to try.
